THE HILB GROUP OF NEW ENGLAND is starting a division to supply voluntary benefit products to clients, such as life insurance, accident, disability and vision insurance products, among others.

WARWICK – The Hilb Group of New England last week launched a new division designed to help businesses with voluntary benefit products.
The new arm of the company, known as Voluntary Benefit Division, offers specific benefit products “for any contingency, for any carrier, to provide employees added financial protection,” according to a press release. The division will be headed by Kimberly St. Onge, voluntary benefit adviser, who the insurer says “has extensive experience in voluntary insurance benefits.”
Prior to joining Hilb, St. Onge worked as assistant vice president of employee benefits at USI Insurance Services. She also worked as a sales agent at Colonial Life and Allstate Voluntary Worksite Benefits.
“The division’s advisers will analyze a company’s current plan and help clients determine the most valuable voluntary benefits for employees. Organizations can select one or more options from a full menu of insurance products Hilb represents, including accident, cancer, critical illness, dental, disability, identity theft, legal, life, pet, vision and other coverage. The Hilb team will also provide enrollment and implementation support, as well as ongoing employee services, such as assisting with claims, policy questions, and premium deductions,” according to the release.
The Hilb Group of New England, founded in 2009, is an insurance agency focused on acquisition and strategic alliances in the middle market insurance brokerage area. The Hilb Group, based in Virginia, acquired Warwick-based Cornerstone Group and East Greenwich-based Gencorp Insurance Group in June 2015.
