Historic walking tour

Barbara Barnes of the Rhode Island Historical Society will lead a tour of historic items including the “Lady’s writing table and chair” created in 1903 as a gift of Mr. and Mrs. Frederick B. Thurber.

Take a historic tour of pieces produced by the Gorham Manufacturing Co. – one of the largest American manufacturers of sterling and silverplate. See and discuss the unexpected items the company produced, including naval furniture and architecture. The tour will finish up at the John Brown House.
