In honor of its 100th anniversary celebration, Liberty Mutual Insurance has donated $10,000 to Home & Hospice Care of Rhode Island.
The grant is a portion of the $1 million Liberty will donate to 100 nonprofit organizations as part of its 100 Gifts program.
Home & Hospice Care, the second-oldest hospice in the nation, will use the funds to assist Rhode Island patients and families with comprehensive and compassionate end-of-life care. Home & Hospice Care relies on donations to cover the differences between the cost of services and reimbursement, and the grant is expected to help bridge the gap.
“We are so grateful to have this generous support from the Liberty Mutual Foundation,” said Diana Franchitto, president and CEO of the organization. “Their donation will help us deliver the highest-quality care to our patients and families when they need it most.”
Franchitto added that Home & Hospice Care is honored to be chosen as part of Liberty’s 100th anniversary. She thanked the company for supporting her organization and others. &#8226
