The Home Loan Foundation recently donated $50,000 to Assumption Parish Food Ministry in Providence.
Funds were generated from the Celtic Twilight Christmas Concert at Park Theatre. The Home Loan Foundation sponsored the event and donated 100 percent of the proceeds from ticket sales to the food ministry.
The concert featured Irish musicians, Andy Cooney, Phil Coulter and Geraldine Branagan, as well as the Irish Ensemble.
“The Home Loan Foundation is honored to make this donation,” said John M. Murphy Sr., chairman of Home Loan Investment Bank. “Sister Angela Daniels and Father Daniel Trainor do incredible work for our community and we hope this makes their efforts a bit easier.”
The Assumption Parish Food Ministry serves more than 18,000 individuals in the Greater Providence area each year. •
