IGT employees receive Women in Gaming Awards

PROVIDENCE – Two International Game Technology PLC employees were recently recognized with Women in Gaming Awards.
The awards recognize female team leaders within their organizations and their contribution to the success of their businesses.

IGT said Marina Bogard, IGT vice president of strategic accounts, North America, and Cari Blomquist, IGT game studio director, were honored last month at the seventh annual Women in Gaming Awards gala at the Jumeirah Carlton Tower Hotel in London.
“Marina Bogard and Cari Blomquist demonstrate outstanding leadership and talent, which speak to their commitment to excellence, and set a great example for everyone at IGT. We are extremely proud of their accomplishments and the global recognition they receive for winning the Women in Gaming Awards,” Renato Ascoli, IGT CEO North America Gaming & Interactive (DoubleDown Casino), said in a statement.
Bogard, who joined IGT six years ago, was honored as “Sales Manager of the Year.” According to the company, she has led the expansion of a large division of the IGT sales department and her team oversees significant sales deals as well as long-term systems commitments with key gaming customers.
Blomquist was named “Employee of the Year.” The company said she leads a successful game studio, resulting in more efficient game design and testing.
