IGT senior vice president inducted into Lottery Industry Hall of Fame

PROVIDENCE – Joseph S. Gendron, International Game Technology PLC’s senior vice president, North America, has been inducted into the Lottery Industry Hall of Fame as a member of the class of 2015.
Gendron was honored Oct. 15 at the induction ceremony, held during the North American Association of State and Provincial Lotteries’ annual conference and trade show in Dallas.

“Building customer relationships and converting those relationships into successful lotteries are part of Jay Gendron’s genetic makeup. For 20 years, Jay has brought a set of values and commitment to customer service that has helped redefine the lottery industry,” Michael Chambrello, CEO of North America Lottery for IGT, said in a statement. “Jay has made it his business to personally get to know each of his customers and ensure their business objectives are met. He has demonstrated trust, integrity, and responsibility – qualities that have made him a respected lottery professional both within IGT and the lottery industry.”
Gendron is responsible for all IGT lottery customers in the United States and Canada. He began working at GTECH in 1995 as an assistant account executive, working his way into positions of increasing responsibility with the company. GTECH merged with IGT in April. He has been in his current position since 2014.

The Lottery Industry Hall of Fame was founded by the Public Gaming Research Institute in 2005 to honor those who have made the lottery industry successful. Membership is reserved for lottery professionals who have promoted excellence and integrity throughout their careers. Each year, former inductees nominate and vote on the final recipients, according to information from IGT.
