Igliozzi Fund holding 10th golf tournament

SOUTH KINGSTOWN – The Sandi “McGee” Igliozzi Memorial Fund Inc. holds its 10th annual golf tournament on Sept. 22 at the Crystal Lake Golf Club in Burrillville.
The registration deadline is Saturday, Aug. 31.
Check-in begins at 6:30 a.m., with a shotgun start at 7:30 a.m.
The fund was established in 2003 in memory of Sandi Igliozzi, a Coventry resident and University of Rhode Island student who died in a car accident in 2002. Igliozzi was known for her love of children, and was pursuing a teaching degree at URI. Since its establishment, the fund has awarded more than 20 college scholarships to local high school students.
The cost for the event is $110 per player. The price includes green fees, a golf cart, participation in a hole-in-one contest and a putting contest, a welcome package, a continental breakfast, and a prime rib dinner. Guests may attend dinner for $30 per person; there is no charge for children to attend.
In addition, there are two sponsorship opportunities: Tee, $100, includes a tee sign, and Gold, $600, includes foursome player fees, a tee sign, and one dozen golf balls.
To register, commit to sponsorship, or for any other questions, please contact Dominic Polis at 401-391-2523 or Joe Igliozzi at 401-578-6515.
The fund is a qualified, nonprofit 501(c)(3) charity.
