Sisters Alexis Devine and Mona Devine Kronholm are trying to spread good health through one of Providence’s newest businesses: Devine City Cycle.

The indoor cycling fitness studio on West Fountain Street is a conduit for the sisters to spread their philosophy of improving life through physical fitness.

“Anything is possible. You’re capable of doing anything if you push your body,” Devine said. “Our classes are a lot about strength of mind, which is a philosophy that Mona and I have organically lived by and both believe in.”

For more than a decade, Devine has taught kickboxing and cycling, or “spin,” classes at gyms throughout the city, including at Brown University. But about a year ago, the sisters decided it was time to open their own studio. They celebrated a grand opening on Feb. 27.

“She’s really my best friend in the world and we really believe in each other,” Devine said. •
