Izzy Foundation to celebrate fifth annual gala

PROVIDENCE – The Izzy Foundation, begun by the Wohlrab family after their daughter Izzy was diagnosed with Stage 4 rhabdomyosarcoma with a mission to support families of children with cancer, will celebrate its fifth annual gala at Providence’s Biltmore Hotel on Oct. 1 at 7 p.m.

Tina and Kyle Wohlrab, Izzy Wohlrab’s parents and founders of The Izzy Foundation, said, “We are so honored that Izzy continues to inspire so many people to live, love, laugh and play. The past five years have been such a celebration of what the foundation means to us and others.”

Rhabdomyosarcoma is a type of sarcoma, a cancer that develops from connective tissues in the body.

The gala, a purple-tie affair, will include cocktails and a live performance by the Rhode Island Children’s Choir as well as live and silent auctions, dinner and dancing to a live performance by Thirty Six Red.
