Jewish Alliance of Greater Rhode Island website named one of 10 best

PROVIDENCE – The Jewish Allliance of Greater Rhode Island’s website is among the top 10 Jewish community center websites this year, according to Accrinet, a North Carolina-based web design and internet marketing firm.
The Alliance website, www.jewishallianceri.org/, was redesigned last year. Users can access detailed, up-to-date information on all aspects of the organization, including programs and services, event information, its history and community partners.
New features include pages for specific groups, such as families with children, young adults and seniors.
“This website has a beautiful design,” Accrinet President Jeff Kline said in a statement. “But what we really love about the Jewish Alliance of Greater Rhode Island website is how the different age groups are displayed at the bottom of each page.”
Information about fitness class schedules, leadership and upcoming events is available and presented in a more navigable and fully searchable interface.
Accrinet said that the key to successful web design is having a well-organized layout; plenty of white space; large, high-quality images; user-friendly navigation; and a simple color scheme, all of which it said the Alliance website achieved.
Brian Sullivan, director of marketing for the Jewish Alliance of Greater Rhode Island, said the organization is honored that its website was named one of the 10 best of 2014. He said that a little more than a year ago, the Jewish Alliance launched its new site to take the place of four separate websites.
“Our new site has a strong focus on philanthropy as well as the programs and services we offer the community. The fact that we were recognized for well-organized content and a user-friendly interface is validating – as this was the intended goal,” Sullivan said.
