One uncle worked in radio, and another was a newspaper columnist. My father … encouraged me to follow in my uncles’ footsteps.
Where do you see yourself professionally in 10 years?
One thing we can be sure of is that the media landscape will continue to evolve and change over the next 10 years. My goal is to lead the charge.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever been given?
The best advice I ever received was to surround myself with the best team possible and try to give them clear goals.
What advice would you give your 22-year-old self?
Take a deep breath and take it all in. It will be 17 years later in the blink of an eye.
What is your favorite escape or hobby?
My wife and I enjoy sampling all the terrific restaurants we have here in Rhode Island. I love being at the beach with my daughter, Elizabeth, and my son, Nicholas.
What one thing in your professional life would you like a do-over on?
I was working full time on the graveyard shift my entire senior year of college. Now that I look back on it, my bosses probably would have understood if I had asked for the day off on graduation day! •
