Junior League to hold Winter Sparkle fundraiser with food, auction, open bar

PROVIDENCE – The Junior League of Rhode Island Inc. is hosting its fourth annual Winter Sparkle fundraiser on Feb. 27.
The event runs from 6-9 p.m. at Hope Events on Main at Hope Artiste Village, 999 Main St., Pawtucket.
Culinary creations from Rhode Island restaurants and caterers, including Chapel Grille, Bake.Eat.Love, Bistro 9, Fireworks Catering, Easy Entertaining, Pawtucket Country Club, Simone’s, Camille’s, Bella Restaurant and Banquet, Julian’s and more, will be featured.
Besides the culinary tasting, a silent auction will present items from vineyards, massage and wellness businesses, artists, jewelers and others.
The funds raised support young adults who are leaving the foster care system in the state.
Tickets are $65 and include open bar for beer and wine and unlimited food tastings, while supplies last.
The Junior League has operated in Rhode Island and southeastern Massachusetts since 1921, and is a training ground for women to become community and civic leaders by learning how to effectively manage a nonprofit organization, fundraise and develop meaningful community service programs.
The league’s current focus is to empower the lives of young adults aging out of foster care.
To participate through in-kind sponsorships, as a food vendor, with silent auction donations or as an advertiser in the Winter Sparkle program book, contact Cristen Ciresi at cciresi@gmail.com.
