Kaneland to launch Nack coffee app

WARWICK – Kaneland LLC will launch its Nack gifting app on March 29 that allows users to buy a coffee for anyone.
The Providence-based startup, founded by Paul Haun, allows users to share their coffee preferences and gift cups of coffee to one another via person-to-person money transfers.

“Nack is positioned to become a global, mobile, social network by encouraging people to perform ‘random acts of coffee’ and building a community that enhances users’ personal and professional relationships,” the company stated.

The app will be launched at Brewed Awakenings on Bald Hill Road from 10:30 to 11 a.m.

Several local companies and organizations, including Cavanagh Co., Priority Management Group, Paul Bailey Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram dealership, Feed 1000 and others, are supporting the launch by using Nack to gift their employees and suspend thousands of coffees available for redemption on launch day at coffee shops locally and anywhere else in the world. Recipients will be encouraged to use Nack to “pay-it-forward” and gift a cup to a friend or to leave a suspended coffee for any other user to redeem, the company said.

“This app is a new tool for the old-fashioned coffee run,” Haun previously told Providence Business News.
