LGC+D raises funds through Bucks for the Buzz

PROVIDENCE – Certified public accountants at LGC+D raised $4,221 in their Bucks for the Buzz fundraiser.
LGC+D’s IT Director Kevin Ricci’s 12-year-old son, KJ Ricci, has been battling leukemia for the past three years, but is in remission.
The goal was to raise $3,000 for “Team Stand Tall For KJ” to benefit The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Man and Woman of the year campaign. Since the amount raised surpassed the goal, two company partners, Michael Camacho and Steven Geremia, agreed to “buzz” their heads.
KJ Ricci was selected to be LLS Boy of the Year for 2015, and the $4,221 raised will help him exceed his $12,000 fundraising target.
Held in April, the Buzz bash featured lunch for employees, friends, and family, about 50 attendees. The lobby of the building was transformed into a barbershop, where Kristin Gordon from the Cutting Edge Family Hair Studio volunteered her time do the buzzing.
