BOSTON – Attorney General Martha Coakley last week appointed Timothy Langella, an attorney with more than 30 years of legal experience in national and international business disputes, as chief of the Business, Technology and Economic Development Division.

According to a news release, Langella, is a graduate of Williams College and Boston University School of Law. He most recently served as a member at Mintz Levin Cohn Ferris Glovsky and Popeo PC where his trial practice focused on the prosecution and defense of complex business disputes, national and international business arbitrations, and an array of other legal claims and business issues. His clients included local and national financial institutions, manufacturers, real estate entities, medical-device companies, venture-capital investors and individual investors. According to the release, Langella obtained awards and settlements for his plaintiff clients ranging from several hundred thousand dollars to $261 million and successfully defended actions involving similar amounts. •
