EAST PROVIDENCE – Mark I. Levine has joined East Providence-based RISCO Insurance Brokerage as president of Florida operations to lead the firm’s expansion into a new geographical market region, according to an announcement from the company.
“We have been expanding our geographic reach over the past five years and opening this location will take us to the next level,” said RISCO Insurance Brokerage President Peter Plumb. “Mark’s years of experience, industry knowledge and relationships are tremendous assets to RISCO and our long-term growth plans.”
Levine, who has 36 years of experience in the insurance industry, will focus on the development and marketing of specialized personal and commercial property casualty coverage in southwest Florida, as well as working with New England insurance agencies.
“I am extremely excited about the opportunity to lead RISCO in providing insurance alternatives in the challenging Florida marketplace,” said Levine. “I know firsthand the difficulty that New England insurance agents experience in attempting to place insurance coverage in Florida for their clients and I look forward to working with them to provide viable solutions.”
Levine, a graduate of Bentley University, is a resident of Miromar Lakes, Fla.
He was previously executive vice president of commercial lines operations for Eastern Insurance Group and has also worked for Liberty Mutual Insurance Co.
