The nonprofit Libraries of Foster would get a new home under a developer’s plan to build the town’s first-ever shopping complex. The project, called Simmons Crossing, would include a new library, restaurant, grocery, small post office and other shops near the Route 6 and Route 94 intersection. Above is librarian Kristine Chin, left, and developer Ann Valentine, in front of one of the town’s two library sites, on Howard Hill Road. The town must still raise money to help build the library, estimated to cost $3 million.
