Lighting Science relaunches brand

WEST WARWICK – Lighting Science Group Corp., which specializes in products featuring LED lighting, has relaunched its brand, changed its logo and revamped its website.
The company, which announced last year that it would move its executive team to a facility in West Warwick from Florida, said the new brand identity is designed to “more accurately communicate the mission of the company and its groundbreaking products.”
The company created the first lighting systems for NASA that regulated the circadian rhythms of astronauts on the international space station.
The relaunch coincides with the expansion of Lighting Science’s line of LED products including its Sleepy Baby, GoodNight and GoodDay bulbs which emit pre-sleep and awake & alert spectrums of light, respectively.
Lighting Science’s new logo suggests a sun and moon above a horizon, and the website features an e-commerce area as well as The Lab, a resource for customers that highlights developments in the industry of light, along with an “Ask the Experts” column.
The company also recently expanded its HealthE series, previously known as the Rhythm series, featuring products with scientifically proven health benefits for users at home, at work or in space. These products are engineered to influence natural circadian rhythms, regulating hormone release and allowing bodies to heal, regenerate and optimize performance over a 24-hour cycle, the company said in a news release.
“At Lighting Science we are on a mission to create the tools that will build a better world and provide people with healthier environments in which to work and live,” CEO Ed Bednarcik said in a statement. “We want the Lighting Science brand to be synonymous with wellness and innovation. We are creating products that don’t exist in the marketplace. It signals a new era for Lighting Science and a giant leap for LED technology.”
The company has offices in Florida and Hong Kong.
