CVS Caremark Corp. and the Boston Red Sox recently partnered for the ninth consecutive season to offer Rhode Island Little Leaguers with physical and developmental disabilities the opportunity to participate in CVS Caremark’s All Kids Can Baseball Camp at Fenway Park recently.
The camp, one of 12 to be held throughout the season, gave children full access to the park for the day. Campers worked one-on-one with Boston Red Sox coaches, ate lunch in the Champions Club, received a VIP tour of Fenway Park, and tickets to the evening’s game with early entry to the team’s batting practice.
“Since creating the program, we have been able to provide more than a thousand New England children with an opportunity to experience Fenway Park and play baseball in a major league stadium. It’s a terrific experience for the players, as well as for their family members, and allows them to learn valuable skills while enjoying a day of fun at Fenway Park,” said Eileen Howard Boone, senior vice president of corporate communications and community relations for CVS Caremark. •
