PAWTUCKET – Melina Lodge has been appointed as the executive director of the Housing Network of Rhode Island, an association that represents 16 nonprofit community development corporations.
Lodge most recently was program director for the association, and focused on expanding the organization’s outreach to include programs aimed at preparing renters for homeownership.
This year, she has led advocacy efforts for a $100 million affordable housing bond, which is under consideration by the General Assembly.
She previously was strategic initiatives planner for the WARM Center and research coordinator at Rhode Island Housing. She has a bachelor’s degree in economics and a master’s degree in community planning from the University of Rhode Island.
