EAST GREENWICH – The VectorCAST platform from software testing solutions firm Vector Software Inc., has been chosen by engineering and consulting service provider MBtech Group for the development of its embedded system, Smart Connectivity Hub, the companies announced.
The VectorCAST platform automates activities during the software development cycle. According to the press release it is “TÜV SÜD certified for ISO 26262 and IEC 61508 software development since 2010,” and will be used by MBtech for ISO 26262 validation for its new system.
“Key to our selection of VectorCAST was that it offers a single software engineering platform that can manage process complexity and support strategic quality, compliance, collaboration, and release readiness initiatives,” Stefan Sauerer of MBtech said in a statement. “VectorCAST supports us in verifying and validating safety-critical embedded software by the standard ISO 26262,” he added.
MBtech’s Smart Connectivity Hub integrates mobile communication by allowing “users to access various vehicle functions such as audio and comfort controls via mobile device such as a smart phone or tablet,” according to the press release.
