Marie Langlois was elected chairwoman of the Rhode Island Foundation Board of Directors in Providence. She is the retired managing director of Washington Trust Investors and will succeed Fred Butler. Langlois has served on the board since 2011. The foundation is the largest funder of nonprofits in the state.
