PROVIDENCE – Maternova Inc. was selected as one of the Global Hot 100 to represent the best in innovation at the World Summit on Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
The three-day summit, taking place in Boston from Sept. 26-28, selected 100 companies from around the globe to “form profitable alliances by providing a stage of inspiring scenes and transformational experiences,” according to a Maternova release.
The summit intends to use the Global Hot 100 enterprises as a catalyst towards the development of innovative products in lifestyle, health, energy, technology, education and communication.
“It is a tremendous honor for Maternova to be distinguished as a leading social enterprise affecting change in society and maternal health,” Allyson Cote, vice president of Maternova, said in a statement. “We are so looking forward to making many new connections and sharing ideas”.
Maternova, a women-owned startup dedicated to help maternal health products get into the developing world more quickly and easily, has recently expanded its core offerings to include an online collaboration platform, global marketplace and innovation index.
