McCormick named executive director of Phoenix House

PROVIDENCE – Phoenix House in New England announced the appointment of Daniel J. McCormick as its new senior vice president and executive director; he succeeds Patrick B. McEneaney, who retired in July 2016 after working for 17 years at Phoenix House. McCormick also serves as senior vice president of strategic partnerships and performance for Phoenix House nationally; most recently, he was interim executive director of Phoenix House in California. Phoenix House in New England is an affiliate of the national Phoenix House, which provides a broad array of substance abuse treatment and behavioral health care services.

“Dan McCormick brings more than 35 years of experience and skill to his work with New England’s leadership team,” Ann Bray, Phoenix House president and chief executive officer, said in a statement. “His outstanding performance in health care administration provides exceptional strategic and operational leadership during a period of significant change as Phoenix House prepares to meet the challenges of the future.”

McCormick earned his master’s degree in health care administration and his undergraduate degree in administration and finance, both from the University of Minnesota.
