MedMates holding workshop on regulatory realities in health-tech industry

PROVIDENCE – MedMates will host ‘Regulatory Realities in Health-Tech,’ on March 18, the fourth event in its “For the Love of Entrepreneurship” workshop series.
Health-tech leaders will discuss how to create a health-tech venture, from inception to exit.
The free workshop, which will be held at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, 222 Richmond St., will focus on the history of U.S. Food and Drug Administration regulation in the country and provide an overview of the approval process for all medical products, including Class I, II, III and unclassified medical devices; drug/device combinations; pharmaceuticals; over-the-counter drugs; and in-vitro diagnostics.
Those who attend also will have the opportunity to discuss their projects with the panel. Pre-registration is encouraged, and can be done by clicking HERE. Product demonstrations will be held from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m., with the panel workshop from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Panelists include: Timothy A. Anderson, principal and owner, The AquaMarine Group, Inc.; Diana Esordi, partner, Duotribe; Nandini Murthy, principal and founder, ENEM Consulting LLC; and Tom Varricchione, senior vice president, clinical and regulatory affairs, Ximedica, LLC . The moderator will be Nick Adams, co-founder and president, Care Thread Inc.
