Meet PBN’s new Web editor, tech writer

PROVIDENCE – Emily Greenhalgh is the newest member of the Providence Business News editorial team and will serve as both Web editor and technology reporter.

A Rhode Island native, Greenhalgh graduated from Boston University with a master’s degree in science journalism in January.

She has been a contributing writer to MassDevice.com and the Rhode Island EPSCoR, as well as a science writing intern at the Bermuda Institute of Ocean Sciences.

Prior to becoming a journalist, Greenhalgh graduated from the University of Rhode Island with a bachelor’s degree in marine biology.

She subsequently worked for the National Marine Fisheries Service as a commercial fisheries observer and for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency as an analyst.
