Why did you select your profession?
I selected accounting midway through my time at Providence College because I believed the strong misconception that accounting was all about numbers. Fifteen years later, I know better.
Where do you see yourself professionally in 10 years?
In 10 years I see myself being an even larger part of the leadership group within BlumShapiro, while still maintaining hands-on relationships with my clients.
What’s the best career advice you’ve received?
Never put the cart before the horse. Work as hard as you can, and you will get what you think you deserve, when you deserve it.
What advice would you give your 22-year-old self?
Don’t ever doubt yourself … the hard work will pay off.
What is your favorite Rhode Island escape or hobby?
Enjoying all of the wonderfully diverse eateries that Rhode Island has to offer.
How do you keep a work-life balance?
Many things that I would need to be at the office for 10 years ago, I can do from home. Remote connectivity has changed the way that we work … and very much for the better.
