Moniz named senior VP, market manager at Webster

PROVIDENCE – Webster Bank has hired a new senior vice president and market manager of Rhode Island.
Michelle Moniz, a resident of Warwick, joins the Connecticut-based bank from Santander Bank, where she served as a retail district executive, according to a press release. A graduate of Rhode Island College, Moniz is responsible for overseeing Webster’s 13 Rhode Island banking centers and two more in southeastern Connecticut.
With more than 10 years of banking experience, Moniz started her career at Bank of America and has “held numerous positions in the industry, including regional sales manager and relationship manager,” according to the release.
Webster, with $24.9 billion in assets, is a subsidiary of Webster Financial Corp. and provides services through 176 banking centers.
