Monopoly Millionaires’ Club TV show set to premiere in R.I.

CRANSTON – The Monopoly Millionaires’ Club, a television game show, will premiere in Rhode Island on WNAC-TV Fox 64 on March 28 at 7 p.m.
To coincide with the TV game show, the Rhode Island Lottery will launch a new companion Monopoly Millionaires’ Club Lottery instant game on April 3.
The instant game will offer players the chance to qualify to win a four-night, five-day trip for two to Las Vegas with accommodations at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino, and the chance to compete on the television game show by registering their Monopoly Millionaires’ Club lottery instant game tickets online at www.playmmc.com, allowing them to build Monopoly-themed lottery property sets to earn entries into a random drawing to participate.
In addition, 13 other lotteries will sell a similar instant game, with the chance to win the Las Vegas trip and potentially participate on the TV game show.
The show’s production recently kicked off at the Rio All-Star Suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.
Contestants were randomly selected from the registered trip winners to play a series of games, each offering cash and other prizes, with a total value of up to $2.5 million per episode. The final round offers a single lucky contestant a shot at a $1 million prize. Each section of the audience also shares in their contestant’s winnings from the show.

Each episode that airs in Rhode Island will feature a Rhode Island Lottery winner as a contestant. The first episode airing on March 28 will include Nicole Almeida from Richmond, playing for the chance to win $10,000. Almeida was part of an office pool and tasked with entering the qualifying tickets online for a chance to win the trip to Las Vegas. She said all of the winnings from her trip will be split equally amongst the group.
