Morgan to leave EDC

PROVIDENCE – Susan Morgan, the chief financial officer of the R.I. Economic Development Corporation, will be leaving the quasi-government organization, EDC spokeswoman Judy Chong told Providence Business News on Monday afternoon.

Morgan, who has worked with the EDC since 2007, is leaving to pursue a “new opportunity outside the government sector,” according to Chong, who added that Morgan’s last day will be Friday.

When asked whether Morgan intended to stay in Rhode Island, Chong replied “When she begins her new role, she will more broadly let her colleagues know where she has landed.”
