N.E. enters into export-access pact with U.S. DOC

BOSTON – The New England Council has entered into an agreement with the U.S. Department of Commerce it says will help its members access foreign markets and increase exports.
The agreement, made possible by an Obama administration’s initiative to promote American-made goods and services across the globe, makes the council a strategic partner with the U.S Commercial Service’s New Market Exporter program. As a result, its 400-plus members will have access to a wide range of Commerce Department resources and expertise.
Those services include: advice on new export markets; access to free, online, market-research reports; opportunities for export training; expert advice, local contacts and market intelligence from specialists in target markets; services to connect to local distributors and representatives.
