Survey: NEIT ranks 5th nationwide for health care program

EAST GREENWICH – The New England Institute of Technology earned the No. 5 spot on the SR Education Group’s Guide to Healthcare School’s 2012.

New England Tech was evaluated and ranked from more than 200 accredited schools using standardized school metrics from the U.S. Department of Education and the National center for Education Statistics.

The top three spots on the list went to the New York-based Swedish Institute, the Southfield, N.J.-based Central Career School and the online, nonprofit Western Govenors University.

Metrics used to determine rankings included for-profit or nonprofit status, cost of tuition, student reviews, accreditation status, loan repayment rates and average rate of student retention.
