NY Times: FBI recommends no charges over Clinton email imbroglio

WASHINGTON – The New York Times is reporting that FBI Director James B. Comey has recommended that no criminal charges be filed against Hillary Clinton over her use of a private email server while she was secretary of state.
Saying that “no reasonable prosecutor” would bring a case against Clinton, Comey’s statement marks the end of a year-long investigation that was spurred by the House Select Committee on Banghazi’s look at the September 2012 attack in Libya that killed four Americans, including Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens.
The Times reported that Comey characterized Clinton’s handling of official emails as “extremely careless,” given that the inspector general for intelligence agencies found that there was classified material among a sampling of emails that Clinton had sent and received.
