Nadeau Corp. Construction Engineering & Development has recently teamed up with the Roger Williams University Career Center to provide students with externship programs in the engineering field and give students the opportunity to job shadow with the company’s CEO and other employees at the company.
“Offering students a chance to get out of the classroom and into real life situations is essential,” said Ernie Nadeau, president of Nadeau Corp. and RWU alumnus. “The truth is these kids are going to be building New England long after we’re done doing it, so it’s nice to give them a snapshot of what they can expect.”
This is the first year Nadeau Corp. has participated in RWU’s externship program, though it plans to become a regular participant in the school’s career-services programs. The company also collaborated with the university’s engineering program, working with university professors and recruiters to promote the school’s online prep course for engineers. •
