Navigant joins TANGO as provider

SMITHFIELD – Navigant Credit Union is joining TANGO – The Alliance for Nonprofit Growth and Opportunity Inc. – as one of its financial services provider.
TANGO, which has offices in Smithfield, and Farmington, Conn., is a network of service providers who help nonprofit organizations by offering free or discounted services. TANGO members also get access to exclusive education events.
“For nearly a century, Navigant Credit Union has put the needs of the communities we serve first,” said Navigant Credit Union President and CEO Gary Furtado. “By teaming with TANGO, we are building on that commitment. We are giving back to our neighbors and making sure that the nonprofit organizations they rely on not just survive, but grow.”
As its service to TANGO members, Navigant will provide free checking accounts. That means that TANGO members won’t be required to maintain a minimum balance in their accounts, and won’t be subject to transaction fees.
“We are happy to provide free checking services to TANGO members,” Furtado said. “We know that running a nonprofit organization can be costly, and we want to help ease the burden for TANGO members who are looking to do good in our communities.”
TANGO wants to foster social and cultural change and believes the best way to do so is through nonprofit organizations. It also recognizes that those difference-making organizations often need help.
“TANGO’s service providers are invaluable to community nonprofit organizations that are trying to make ends meet while also trying to make a difference,” said Rollin Schuster founding partner of TANGO. “We are thrilled that Navigant Credit Union is joining our team.”
