Navigant offering $10K in scholarships

SMITHFIELD – Navigant Credit Union has announced it is offering $10,000 in scholarships to for high school seniors from its membership community for their academic, extracurricular and community achievements.

The deadline to apply is May 1, 2012. Any graduating high school senior entering an accredited junior college, college, university or technical school can apply. Applicants must be a member or the immediate family member of someone who has an active Navigant Credit Union account. Scholarship applicants will be reviewed and rated on the basis of financial need, past academic performance in high school, standardized test scores, extracurricular activities, and personal interview, if so desired by the selection committee.

Applications are available at their website, www.navigantcu.org and at all Navigant Credit Union branches. Winners will be chosen in early June.
