NetWORKri center in S.K. to expand hours

SOUTH KINGSTOWN – The netWORKri career center located in the village of Wakefield expanded its hours to meet the requirements of a U.S. Department of Labor grant.
In June, the Employment and Training Administration of the U.S. Department of Labor awarded $701,363 in Reemployment and Eligibility Assessment grant funding to the R.I. Department of Labor and Training. These funds will be used to expand the REA program in Rhode Island and make the Wakefield netWORKri career center a fourth REA entry point.
The center will be open to the public Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The office will also be open three days a week instead of two through the end of the program year on March 31, 2015. REA counselors currently see clients at the Providence, West Warwick and Woonsocket netWORKri career centers. •
