New BankRI app includes mobile check deposit

Bank Rhode Island this month announced this month it had launched a new mobile banking app that introduces mobile check depositing features and text banking.
The new app also offers a convenient text banking service, allowing customers to quickly receive account balances and transaction history through the text messaging function of their mobile phone.
According to the company, mobile check depositing makes it easy for customers on-the-go to use their smartphones to deposit checks into their accounts, anywhere and anytime they need.
“It’s important to BankRI that we continue to enhance our online and mobile banking capabilities to best meet the changing needs of our customers,” Steven Parente, senior vice president, director of retail banking for BankRI, said in a statement. “Not only does our mobile banking app make it convenient for customers to make transfers between accounts and pay bills, the new mobile check depositing feature saves time and ensures their checks are processed even faster.”
The app is available to all BankRI customers with iOS and Android devices and he can be accessed through the institution’s website.
