Newport architectural firm restores N.H. landmark

NEWPORT – Northeast Collaborative Architects recently completed the restoration of the Wolfeboro Town Hall in New Hampshire.
Boston architect James T. Kelley designed the 12,000-square-foot brick building, in 1890, according to a news release.
The Romanesque revival landmark is considered one of the Granite State’s most significant municipal buildings, and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.
The renovation project involved restoring masonry and roofing, replacing windows, rebuilding the chimney and redesigning the storefront for office use. The project also included restoring the Great Hall, which is used for community events and public meetings.
