Numbers nurture health for Fidelity

Known for helping its customers improve their financial numbers, Fidelity Investments encourages employees to know and improve their health numbers: blood pressure, cholesterol, body-mass index, etc.

“It’s important to Fidelity that our associates are empowered,” said Jennifer Hanson, senior vice president for benefits.

Fidelity’s Well for Life initiative includes on-site healthy dining options, health and wellness centers, preventative screenings, wellness exams, coaching and immunizations. Ergonomic assessments, access to counselors, mindful meditation messages and referrals to a backup dependent-care service are designed to alleviate associates’ stressors.

Fidelity ramped up in 2014 with four new health and wellness centers, enhancements to discounted health insurance premiums for active associates and $300 reimbursement for associates’ fitness expenses.
