HOPKINGTON – GreenBytes Inc., developer of inline deduplication data storage, has named Stephen O'Donnell as chairman of the board of directors, the company announced Monday.
Members of the Board from GreenBytes, as well as investment partners Generation Investment Management and Battery Ventures, selected O'Donnell for this new appointment.
Previously, O’Donnell was CEO at MEEZA in Qatar, a large data center and managed services business; managing director at Enterprise
Strategy Group, a leading analyst firm; global head of data center operations at British Telecom; and a member of the Advisory Board at

GreenBytes’ Michael Robinson told Providence Business News that Stephen's background is particularly well suited for the new market the company will be entering into this summer.
GreenBytes will present a new product, serving the Virtual Desktop Infrastructure market, at the VMWorld conference in San Fransisco on Aug. 26.
GreenBytes, which was founded in 2007, has raised more than $24 million in venture funding to date.
