WESTERLY – The Ocean House at Watch Hill has once again earned a AAA Five Diamond rating, its fourth consecutive year receiving the designation.

In addition, Seasons at the Ocean House – the fine-dining restaurant located inside the luxury hotel – received a Four Diamond rating for the fifth year in a row.

The Ocean House was the only Rhode Island establishment awarded a Five Diamond rating. Five Diamond recipients represent 0.3 percent of the more than 59,000 establishments throughout North America visited by AAA inspectors each year, AAA Southern New England said in its announcement of the 2014 awards Friday.

Four restaurants in total, including Seasons at the Ocean House, received Four Diamond ratings, which comprise 3.9 percent of the 59,000 establishments inspected.

“AAA Four and Five Diamond hotels and restaurants provide guests with a personalized experience and attentive service in comfortable, high-quality surroundings,” said Lloyd P. Albert, AAA Southern New England’s senior vice president of public and government affairs. “These establishments consistently exceed the expectations of the most discriminating traveler – the AAA inspector. We are proud to have these dedicated businesses in our region.”

The awards will be officially presented at a luncheon in Providence in March.

AAA Southern New England on Friday also announced the awards for Massachusetts. Fifty hotels and 16 restaurants in Massachusetts received Four or Five Diamond awards for 2014, the majority of them located in Boston.
