Forbes: Ocean House triple 5-star resort for hotel, spa and restaurant

WESTERLY – Ocean House in Watch Hill has earned five-star ratings from Forbes Travel Guide for its hotel, OH! Spa and Seasons restaurant.
Ocean House and its spa and restaurant were the only establishments in Rhode Island to receive five stars, the highest honor that Forbes gives. The ratings were unveiled in Forbes’ 2015 Star Rating list. It also was the only property to become a triple five-star hotel this year, becoming the 10th hotel in the world, and fifth in the United States to achieve the distinction.
“We are thrilled and humbled to be recognized by Forbes with this prestigious honor, becoming the 10th hotel in the world to join this elite group of the best of the best,” Daniel Hostettler, president and group managing director of Ocean House Management LLC, said in a statement. “This is our fifth year of operation, and I cannot think of a better way to celebrate than with Forbes five-star ratings for Ocean House, its world-class spa and now its farm-to-table restaurant.”
OH! Spa earned its five-star designation in 2012, followed by the resort earning its own five stars a year later. Seasons restaurant joined the list for the first time this year.
“Our star ratings recognize the finest hotels, restaurants and spas in the world. These ratings serve as the most authoritative guideposts for guests seeking exceptional travel experiences. Our primary mission is to contribute to excellence in hospitality, serving the global tourism industry as well as the guest,” Gerard J. Inzerillo, CEO of Forbes Travel Guide, said. “We’re proud to be associated with the new additions to our global list.”
Four-star awards were given to the following hotels: Castle Hill Inn and The Chanler in Newport, and Weekapaug Inn in Westerly. In the restaurant category, Spiced Pear and Muse by Jonathan Cartwright, both in Newport, also received four stars.
