Oceanstate Financial helps BBBSRI with first toy drive

EAST PROVIDENCE – Oceanstate Financial Services is looking to help Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Ocean State provide holiday presents to 200 children through its first Holiday Toy Drive, going on through Dec. 12.

Through Wednesday, Oceanstate Financial – which is an affiliate of Baystate Financial Services – will collect new, unwrapped gifts from employees and the public. “Each year, the Baystate Financial Charitable Foundation explores ways to give back to others and the community,” said Molly Neville, executive director of the foundation. “We are excited to work with the generous people of Rhode Island to host this First Annual Toy Drive.”

Big Brothers Big Sisters is looking for new, unwrapped gifts from Oceanstate employees as well as the public, including books, board games, educational toys, dolls and action figures, craft supplies, Legos, and building blocks or puzzles. Donations should be brought to Oceanstate Financial’s offices at 401 Wampanoag Trail in East Providence between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. For more information, contact Karen Melo at (401) 432-8805 or kmelo@baystatefinancial.com.
