Old Colony Elder Services collects food for charities

EASTON, Mass. – Old Colony Elder Services donated more than 300 nonperishable food items to charities in the area after the holidays.
The nonprofit serves older adults and people with disabilities throughout the Greater Brockton and Plymouth County area.
Charities receiving the donations through the food drive include My Brothers Keeper in Easton, Father Bill’s & Mainspring in Brockton and Plymouth Area Coalition for the Homeless in Kingston.
Offered every year around the holidays, OCES’ Food Drive was held among its 235 employees the week before Christmas. Last year, OCES donated more than 140 pounds of food to South Shore Community Action Council in Plymouth.
The nonprofit operates more than 15 programs serving older adults, individuals with disabilities, their families and caregivers.
