TAUNTON – A second place award in the 2016 New England Museum Association Publication Award Competition was awarded to the Old Colony History Museum for its new branding materials including the logo, as well as the letterhead, stationery and signage.

Other award recipients in the recent competition included the Peabody Essex Museum, Plymouth Plantation and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Museum, company in which Katie MacDonald, OCHM executive director, is thrilled to be included.

“It is a credit to our entire team of staff, volunteers and board members who have worked tirelessly to modernize and update all aspects of this museum over the past 18 months,” she said of the recognition.

MacDonald explained the rebranding was a process spearheaded by the museum’s marketing committee, chaired by Kathy Mulhern, the museum’s vice president of personnel, and New Bedford-based marketing and communications firm Litos Strategic Communication.
