Tradition, quality and pride are all words synonymous with the John Matouk & Co. brand.

The third-generation, family-owned luxury linen business was founded back in 1929 by John Matouk, a Damascus-born immigrant newly arrived to the United States.

“Matouk is a classic American business story,” said George Matouk Jr., John’s grandson, who became CEO in 2002. “We are positioning ourselves to become an iconic luxury home-furnishings brand with a core identity in fine bed and bath linens.”

The company sources fabrics from around the globe, designing and manufacturing for renowned interior designers, luxury hotels and high-end retailers, among others.

“Matouk satisfies customers who have been loyal to the company for generations and continues to attract passionate and discerning customers,” said Matouk.

Operating from its solar-powered factory and headquarters in Fall River, the company invested $10 million last year to nearly double its physical space to almost 90,000 square feet. In addition, Matouk purchased a continuous quilting machine and implemented new business automation processes.

“We invest in state-of-the-art technologies while simultaneously protecting and nurturing old-world craftsmanship,” said Matouk. “We make a product that enhances the lives of our customers … in the most intimate spaces of their homes. We can make a big impact if we can do that better than anyone else.” •
