NEWPORT – Newport Hospital announced that Dr. Randall Ingham, a hematologist/oncologist, has joined the Newport Hospital medical staff as part of Lifespan’s Comprehensive Cancer Center at Rhode Island, The Miriam and Newport hospitals.

Currently accepting new patients, Ingham received his medical degree from New York Medical College in Valhalla, N.Y., and completed his residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in hematology/medical oncology at The Warren Alpert Medical School at Brown University and Rhode Island and The Miriam hospitals. He is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the American Society of Hematology.

“It’s a crucial benefit to our community that Newport Hospital provides seamless access to all the services the Comprehensive Cancer Center offers across the Lifespan system, and Dr. Ingham makes an exciting addition to the Comprehensive Cancer Center team,” Crista F. Durand, president of Newport Hospital, said in the hospital’s statement.

“My goal when caring for patients is to treat them like family, give them the best treatment possible and ensure they’re not in the dark and are the ones making the decisions about their care,” Ingham said in the statement. “We’re giving care here that’s second to none, but it’s done in a personal way.”
