Operation Homefront’s Pedals for Medals seeks volunteers

MILTON – As part of its Pedals for Medals campaign, Operation Homefront is seeking volunteers and sponsors residing in New England states to donate either a 30-minute workout on a stationery bike or sponsor a rider to raise awareness and funds for veterans, military families and wounded warriors this July.

Participants can complete the 30 minutes of stationery cycling in their homes, at the gym or another fitness facility. Sponsorship levels range from $1 per minute to $10 per minute and go as high as the signature sponsor level of $10,000.

The event will culminate with a final push on July 30 when riders at designated centers in Massachusetts, Connecticut, Maine, New Hampshire, New York, Rhode Island and Vermont will cycle simultaneously.

Riders and sponsors will be invited to celebrate Pedals for Medals at a free reception with raffles, a silent auction, live music and free drawings for veterans at American Legion Post 114 in Milton, Mass., at 123 Granite Ave. on a soon-to-be-announced date.
