PACE to host ‘Age of Disruption’

PROVIDENCE – PACE Organization of Rhode Island will host geriatrician Dr. Bill Thomas and the “Age of Disruption” tour as part of its 10th anniversary celebrations on May 19 at the Park Theatre in Cranston.

Thomas’ performance illustrates a “highly disruptive understanding of age and aging” with the message of changing your life to improve how you will age.

“Aging can be reimagined as a vivid and enlivening process that presents us with extraordinary risks and rewards,” he said.

This year’s tour includes the documentary “Disrupt Dementia,” and Dr. Thomas’ signature “non-fiction theater” performance “Life’s Most Dangerous Game” featuring musician Nate Silas Richardson.

Joan Kwiatkowski, PACE Rhode Island CEO, is excited to bring this learning experience to Rhode Island.

“As an innovative community-based model of health care we are grateful for the opportunity to enrich the lives of older adults every day throughout the year. Sharing Dr. Thomas’ highly disruptive and hopeful message about aging is the perfect way to celebrate our 10th anniversary,” she said.

Tickets for the performance are $75 and can be purchased online (www.pace-ri.org).
